Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to work with Carolina Tile & Stone. Please review our terms and conditions before purchasing with us. It is crucial that both you and your installer, general contractor, builder, architect, designer, or other entities associated with your project are well-informed about the particular logistical and technical considerations related to any tile or stone acquisition, delivery, and installation. Your understanding and adherence to these conditions ensure a smooth and successful experience with Carolina Tile & Stone.

Return Policy

Any order after 30 days from the day of deposit cannot be returned or refunded. If material return falls within the timeline of the 30 days there will be a 35% restock fee and the cost of freight to ship the order back to the manufacturer. All material needs to be in original condition and in unopened, undamaged boxes.

Verifying Quantities

All quantities of tile ordered must be approved by the installer or project manager of your project. Your tile installer and/or project manager are held responsible for the quantity of tile ordered as well as appropriate overages. Carolina Tile & Stone accepts no responsibility for quantities ordered. We may provide an estimate on quantities as a professional courtesy only but will need the final square footage and amounts verified by your installer.

Tile Installation

Carolina Tile & Stone is not a contractor and does not undertake or contract for the installation of any product. As a courtesy, upon request, we provide a list of local tile installers recommended by our clients. This list is a suggestion, and the final decision on which installer to hire rests with the purchaser. It is imperative that both you and your installer or other representatives are aware of the unique logistical and technical aspects associated with tile or stone purchases, delivery, and installation. Adhering to generally accepted industry guidelines, including those in the most recent Tile Council of North America Handbook for Ceramic, Glass, and Stone Tile Installation and the Natural Stone Institute Dimension Stone Design Manual, is essential in the absence of specific instructions.

Tile Parameters

All tiles are subject to variation in shade and size, and measurements are nominal. Neither tile nor natural stone is guaranteed against chipping, crazing, cracking, or wear after delivery. Handmade and machine-made tiles may have irregularities in size, shape, color, warpage, moisture absorption, surface finish, texture, and dynamic coefficient of friction. Expect color variation from samples and displays, as well as within the shipment. Natural stone and crackle-glazed ceramic tiles must be sealed, particularly in wet environments. Crackle glazes may continue to crackle over time, and periodic resealing is recommended for long-term maintenance. Solid glazes are subject to crackle upon installation and over time. Stone, being a natural material, exhibits unique variations.

Dry Laying

Natural stone and ceramic tile require blending for a unified look, and it is the installer's and homeowners responsibility to perform a dry layout for approval before installation.

Payment Terms

All orders require payment in full before being placed and pricing and availability of products are subject to change day to day. Trade customers with established credit terms must place a 50% deposit and pay in full within 30 days of order completion.

Storage Fees

Carolina Tile & Stone will store paid-in-full orders of merchandise free of charge until delivery is scheduled for up to 90 days after the completed order has arrived to our warehouse. After 90 days, storage fees of $100 per pallet per month will be incurred.

Freight Charges

Freight and handling charges are added to Estimates/Invoices and are non-refundable. Orders not shipped within 90 days of placement are subject to potential freight increases.
